Peruvian pink salt pans were first carved by the Incas as early as in the 13th Century, along the sides of mountain valleys where mineral rich natural spring water flows to fill up pond-like pans. The spring water is left to evaporate under the sun, leaving behind the all-natural and precious Pink Salt of Maras or Peruvian Pink Salt. Suggested use: For culinary uses including cooking, baking and seasoning. It is ideal for use in replacement of refined salt.
