  • 50g Old Fashioned Oats
  • 30g White/Red Quinoa
  • 1 Banana, diced into large cubes
  • 120g Milk/ any vegan alternative or water will work
  • Pinch of salt Honey, to taste

  1. In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats, rinsed quinoa, water, and milk. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the oats and quinoa are cooked and have absorbed most of the liquid.
  3. Stir in the mashed ripe banana, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the flavors are well combined.
  4. Once the banana quinoa oatmeal reaches your desired consistency, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. Serve the banana quinoa oatmeal in bowls. Top each bowl with sliced bananas, chopped nuts, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, if desired.
