HONEY LEMON MINT CHIA DRINK RECIPE

  • 800ml Water
  • 40g Chia Seed
  • 2 Lemon
  • 4 Sprig of Mint
  • 120g Honey

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Making the Chia Gel:

  1. In a small bowl or glass, mix the chia seeds with 1/2 cup of water. Stir well to combine.
  2. Allow the chia seeds to absorb the water. Stir again after a few minutes to prevent clumping. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes or until it forms a gel-like consistency.

Preparing the Drink:

  1. In a pitcher or large jar, combine the remaining 1.5 cups of water, lemon juice, lemon zest, and honey. Adjust the amount of honey to your taste preferences. Stir well to dissolve the honey.
  2. Add the chopped fresh mint leaves to the pitcher and mix.
  3. Gently stir the prepared chia gel into the lemon-mint mixture. You can adjust the thickness of the drink by adding more water if needed.
  4. If you prefer your drink cold, add ice cubes to the pitcher or serve the drink over ice in individual glasses.
  5. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint, if desired.
  6. Stir the drink well before serving to distribute the chia seeds evenly.
