The testing is done at independent laboratories and test certificates are available for every jar of UMF certified honey. Every jar of UMF certified honey is tested, packed and labelled in New Zealand.

UMF 12+ - Contains MGO 354+. MGO stands for Methylglyoxal and it is a naturally occurring compound found in the Manuka honey which is responsible for its antibacterial properties. The higher the UMF number, the higher the MGO content and the more antibacterial strength the honey has.
